It sure doesn't look good...I'll say that much. I don't know any straight men who dig it....Not one little bit.
You don't have to "dig it" in order to be supportive. Perhaps you're surrounded by insecure guys who believe that being anti-gay makes them look stronger and more masculine - or something.
And you must not know many secure straight men. Secure men are not threatened by gay guys and don't go out of their way to demonize them. Only men with something to hide, who are harboring their own same-sex attractions seek to attack that which they hate most about themselves.

No...just men who are SECURE you/we don't have the "parts" we like!
The dig is, they get the comfort of knowing that if their religion happens to disagree with SSM (not all of them do) then that religious ceremony is preserved within their particular religion. Personally, I think it's a patently stupid position to hold, but it seems to be important to the religious types, so whatever makes them feel better.
Also, with my compromise they don't lose anything, either.
How about - any time a same-sex couple get married at the courthouse, they give a Jesus action figure to an anti-gay religious heterosexual couple getting married in a church? Would that make them feel better?
Love how "supposed" straight people defend gays to the end. It "doesn't" look good for your cause man...just saying. LOL
Even when same sex marriage loses in elections, it gets a heck of a lot of votes. A lot more than the estimated % of gays in the population. That must mean plenty of us 'supposed' straight people are really....
