Talk radio + cable news + think tanks + the Internet = a complete closed political ecosystem where people with the same views can self-segregate and endlessly perpetuate their own narratives, whether they're reality-based or not. Hence their inability to engage or even comprehend people who don't share their views, which explains their shrillness and the utter apparent disconnect between what they spew and what's actually true or helpful.
Of course this happens on both sides (something neither side is prepared to admit) but the right-wing echo chamber is much, much more comprehensive, and far better funded.
Yes, it was so much "better" when the only cable news station was the Clinton News Network (CNN).
The Democrats right now are just shell shocked. They are scared to death of the Republicans and especially Rush, Glenn and Sean. They are in hiding. Look how Obama was trembling and sweating while Willard mopped the floor with him in the debate. Obama is scared. Very scared.
Not to mention that his ears looked like they were about to burst into flames they were so red from embarrassment.
I've heard of 'slicing and dicing' your opponent, but what Romney did to Obama was unprecedented insofar as one candidate showing how incompetent and impotent the other candidate was.
ALL of the loudest people in politics are certified lefties, including Sharpton, Lisa Jackson, Rev. Jackson, Cutler, Wasserman-Schultz, Waters, Boxer, Reid, Pelosi, Schumer, Obama, Jackson-Lee and too many others to mention.
You realize that the Democrats have control of the Presidency and the Senate right now, right? It stands to reason that the loudest voices will be from their opposition.
Were you around during the Bush years??
I was, and you would have thought that W was the Second Coming. Not a negative peep from any republican anywhere while he and Cheney stole the counrtry blind and ran two wars on American Express. Any time anyone tried to question his actions they were shouted down by a Greek chorus of his supporters.
All of a sudden Obama becomes President, and you would have thought it was Armageddon.
And yes, those threads still exist in this forum, and those people are still on this forum, just as loud screaming against Obama as they were screaming in favor of being screwed by W.

Wrong! I am a Republican and couldn't stand Bush. All Republicans aren't representative of those on this forum either.

Wow this reminds me of the current Greek chorus of Obama supporters. Maybe this phenomena isn't unique to "the Right".
