I think it is so funny that the liberals are against the idea more so and the conservatives are more for it. Maybe liberals really do know that would mean they would have to get out there and work for a living since the conservative money would not be there for them to steal from. They know someone has to work to pay the taxes that support the country! Good luck if they can create the jobs, as we see the current administration does not know how that is done, since the unemployment rate went back up to 7.9%.

Should the US break up into 3 or 4 smaller countries?

Yes, or maybe five or six.

It's impossible to effectively govern 320 million people.

But the Obama administration has done a fantastic job of growing the welfare rolls. That's the Dem mantra "make the voters dependent on Big Government"... that preserves the power of Big Government.

Hey I agree. This BS is getting old.

And breaking up into more logical countries would be much more democratic. The liberals could have their very highly taxed welfare state, and conservatives could have the freedom they crave.

Empires become very difficult to manage and people are now being forced to live a way they are not happy living. As it is, conservatives are being suppressed and oppressed because the liberals have to have everything their way, but if the conservatives had any power, the liberals would be miserable too.

Problem is, no state is totally one or the other political affiliation. And rural areas lean republican, urban ones lean democrat. You'd simply end up with the same problem again on a lower scale.

You talking TRUE conservatives like Paul,Lee,Amash or NeoCons like Romney,Bush...etc..NeoCons don't want freedom they want to control everyone just in a different way from the democrats.

The country tried it with from 13 to about 50 quasi-countries. It didn't turn out well. Humans just can't manage independence, so our predecessors passed responsibility over to politicians and corporations.
