The fact that the more advanced Arab countries are now players, they can't do anything except talk.

Palestine is the orphan no Arab country wants to adopt. They will show an interest in establishing and doing business in Palestine if there was a solid peace treaty or Palestine is given statehood.
Exactly. They do not really support the allies of their enemeies;the Iranians. One has to remmber the religous sects will never be allies in the end. Sauidi's and the Iranian's are enemies as always.

BBC News - Q&A: Palestinian bid for upgraded UN status

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/11/10/wo...un-status.html

'In theory, the chances of the Palestinians obtaining non-member observer state status are almost certain. A resolution need only be passed by a simple majority at the 193-member UN General Assembly. According to the PLO, more than 130 countries already grant the Palestinians the rank of a sovereign state. However Palestinian officials say they hope to win the votes of 150 to 170 countries at the UN to show the isolation of the US and Israel on this issue.'
Good for them. They will not get anywhere with the US. We are not a fair broker.

Glenn Greenwald had an excellent article yesterday regarding the USA and how it's not innocent and helpless in all this.

They won't allow Palestine to be recognized because then they would be able to have the ICC, the International Criminal Court, hold Israel accountable for Geneva convention violations and atrocities committed against these people. That would surely expose the U.S. for knowingly supporting the crimes.

How do you manage Chava?! You poor poor thing! Your life is worth a thousand Palestinian lives cause you're "special" compared to other ethnicities.

Israel killed 320 "children" in one Month alone and has blockaded Gaza ( an act of war) for five years killing hundred of more kids via lack of adequate medical care and malnutrition.

[Citizens of the USA. Ignore this right wing Jewish tribal rhetoric spouted by these Israelis on this thread. They only want your money and your kids lives to brutalize Arab peasants]

They come here to gloat about murdering children and harass real Americans who don't fall for the scams.
Chava's right, you're coming across as a bully. If you can't even be judicious when speaking to other people then there's no hope of you being judicious when trying to assess the moral complexities of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. You owe her an apology.

He's entitled to be emotional when women and children are being slaughtered. No one should apologize for that.

Actually, Jews have lived side by side with their "neighbors" for centuries. What the Palestinians are horrified by is the fact that since the June 6, 1967 War initiated by Israel against Syria, Jordan and Egypt displaced 129,000 Palestinians and established the present occupation of the West Bank territories granted to the Palestinians first by the UN Partition Plan and later established as result of the 1947 Arab Israeli War. The ongoing occupation, which has resulted in the further displacement of 1,100 Palestinians between 2010 and 2011 alone due to the demolition of Palestinian homes and the erection of illegal Israeli developments. Calling these sprawling suburban communities as settlements is the worst kind of obscenity. And I haven't begun to discuss occupations the denial of the most basic economic and individual rights of the Palestinians. There is no way to describe what is happening to the Palestinian people except in terms of ethic cleansing.

Have the tactics of the various Intafadas which spawned suicide bombings and other terrorist acts counter productive or part of a strategy that I would aprove of? Not in the least. Have the Palestinians blown opportunities to negotiate a lasting peace. Yes, but Israel has played the same game particularly since the Likud and religious parties have assumed greater power in Israel.

At some point the only way this will be resolved is when an outside party gets enough never to stand between these to parties and says enough is enough. Israel must return to its 1967 borders in accordance with UN Resolution 242, and the Palestinians and other Arab nations must recognize Israels right to exist within those borders.

So it is okay to harm Israeli women and children but not Palestinian women and children? There women and children being harmed on both sides of the conflict and it is very sad for everyone involved.

I'm not criticising him for being emotional, I'm criticising him for taking his emotions out on others. Anyone who does that to somebody else should apologise.
