Can you explain the procedure for changing the way your brain works?
I have a friend I've known since kindergarten who is transgender and in the last few years has been taking hormone replacement therapy and having surgery to move physically from male to female. Looking back, it was pretty obvious from grade school that she was transgendered. She knew from a very early age she was transgender but tried to fight it for the longest time due to social acceptance, especially from her parents and close family. So yeah, I'm a firm believer that some 9-year olds know they are transgender.

and no matter what surgeries she has, she will ALWAYS still be a she...a X-Chrome...she will NEVER be a Y-Chrome
