I like the panic button idea and the wasp spray just cracks me up! That definitely would slow someone down!

We need better health care in this country, and that should certainly be a part of it. How you are going to get the "no new taxes" Republicans to agree to it, is going to be a problem, I think.

Oh, wait ... it's not really about security, is it? It's about showing off the status symbol, acting and talking tough, and getting that little rush when you touch your weapon ...
What good does an alarm system really do except to make you feel safe when at home? Do you think the police are right around the corner waiting for your alarm to go off? Are you really under the delusion that the police always answer private alarms or if they do that they do so with any kind of speed?
Reality check for one please.

Are you being deliberately obtuse? While he's killing one baby with a knife do you think the other 19 would stand around watching? I'm guessing even 6-7 years would know enough to start running.

How about reducing some of the wasteful spending, duplicate departments or actually present some kind of budget? Reduce the garbage spending and then there'd be $$$ for what's needed just like normal people do in their own lives.

So you have never read a single article about home invasions on chron.com or on the local news channels really?

Hmm, the argument referred to a knife. A sword is not a knife. Next stupid argument...

Well believe it happened to my neighbor. Her bell rang. She thought it was the gardener. It was 3 guys with guns who forced their way in, tied her up, shoved her in a closet and robbed her. three weeks ago. She keeps a gun by the door, now. I keep wasp spray, never answer the door, and keep the driveway gate locked. We are in the grips of some crazy people. A friend who lived in SW Houston was robbed by the same people 3 times. They knew exactly how long it took for the insurance to pay off and stuff to be replaced. She finally put a sign on the door for them to not bother. She was not replacing the stuff.
