Do some historical research of the outcome when governments systematically disarm their civilians, then Michael the Slob Moore will understand.

"Fahrenheit 911" is my second favorite documentary by Moore, but if you ever decide to watch just one, rent "Roger and Me", it is superb.

Many of his documentaries like Fahrenheit 911 use humor and facts to excoriate wingnuts, which get the resident RWNJ's foaming like Pavlov's dog at the mere mention of Moore

Eh...don't think much of MM but I do agree that our country's obsession with "protecting" ones self with guns is a fear based obsession and that this fear causes a ton of paranoia in our country about all groups, not necessarily, primarily minorities. Also, we do have race issues in our country and I don't feel they are politically motivated I think all parties have issues with race in this country and I do feel that black men are especially viewed with fear in the US and that that fear is unwarranted. The OP mentioned black murder rates specifically, attempting IMO to paint " blacks" in a more menacing, dangerous light than other demographics and even though I view all murder as horrific, I don't make distinctions based on race with who I will be afraid of and I especially won't make distinctions using statistics since you can take a look at other, more common and numerous deaths like DUI deaths where white people overwhelmingly kill more in this fashion than blacks or even mass murders like the incidents of this past year where multiple people have been killed in one instant versus black male murderers that are usually domestic violence (like most murderers period) or those involving drugs and gangs or shootings where only one person is killed, and never multiple children in one location at one time.

So even though I think MM exaggerates and is biased, I am inclined to believe him in his statements especially in regards to individuals like the OP.

Why? Because he points out things which you'd rather not see the light of day?

Michael more needs to put his cheeseburger down and get his fat butt up (with head pulled out) and go for a run. His opinion means absolutely nothing to most people.

Michael Moore has been 100% correct in nearly everything he has ever said.

It seems like only yesterday when shrill bedwetting conservatives and Bushbots were calling him a "traitor" and demanded his head on a stick just because he made a film blasting the Iraq war as costly, unnecessary, and just plain stupid. 10 years later and trillions of GOP debt later, he has been vindicated. Ah, the memories....

The only people who are upset are the ones he was talking to.
