Nothing associated with marijuana use leads to responsible behavior.

In fact, of those under the influence of a drug when committing crimes which would subsequently land them in jail, the drug was marijuana 50% of the time beating out crack and cocaine, heroin and meth.

Gallup would disagree...

"Among the very wealthy, 39% say their political views are conservative, 41% call themselves moderate, and 20% liberal, similar to the percentages seen among all others."

U.S. "1%" Is More Republican, but Not More Conservative

FTR, liberals don't hate freedom.

They hate other people's freedom, responsibilities associated with their own freedom and being held accountable for their own actions when exercising their freedom harms others.

Tobacco smoke is a factor in getting cancer. Marijuana has been shown to decrease cancer tumors.

Tobacco is as addictive as heroin. Marijuana is as addictive as caffine.

I could go on, but you get the idea. Do your own research and then decide....

She's probably afraid that if it were legalized she would be asked to take a toke.

Nothing associated with casual marijuana use leads to irresponsible behavior. Irresponsible people lead to irresponsible behavior. People who are responsible by nature or training will use marijuana responsibility. All use is not abuse.

Just because someone tests positive for THC does not suggest that they are under the influence.

Just because someone tests positive for marijuana use, does not suggest that they are going to commit any other crime other than possession and use of the marijuana. Forty million Americans have at least tried marijuana once. Other than that fact, they are not criminals, nor have the majority engaged in any other criminal act.

I'm sure many criminals have used alcohol, and at least some have been under the influence of alcohol when committing their crimes, yet alcohol remains legal. You need to try to separate responsible use from use and not try to draw conclusions simply from use.

The Right & the Drug War | The American Conservative

A shame so many conservatives are in favor of keeping cannabis illegal, as objection to Obama's draconian drugs policy could easily help the GOP - particularly in the West Coast states where the Republican Party is now very weak.

Isn't marijuana easier to get than any of them?
Compare availability to drug use

Also, compare to alcohol.
