Unions are declining along with pay for blue collar workers, and declining along with health care benefits.

For 40 years the US white male, by voting for the GOP, has systematically destroyed workers rights, and the ability of unions to strike for better pay/benefits.

You can see these haters in this thread. Bitter either that they don't make union wages, or they own some small business where they pay their workers minimum wage, and no benefits.

So what you are getting now is dog-eat-dog, survival of the fittest. The gap between rich and poor is the greatest in our nations history. The USA has the lowest social mobility rates in the Western World. Hard work will get you nothing but a supervisor position at WalMart making you $25K per year.
Wrong. I know some union workers who are dumb as doorknobs. They expect to go to work, hide out and sleep on the job and know that the unions will protect them.

How about those guys who were smoking pot in the parking lot on their lunch break. The unions protected them and they got their jobs back. Some will argue that their lunch break is their time but would you want a your surgeon or your nurse smoking pot on their lunch break? And the unions will protect their jobs too.

And the sad thing is. They just keep on bashing unions, and bashing workers who try to act in unison for better wages.
Of course when this person graduated from high school they never considered college right. Then they want paid the same as a college educated engineer.

Skills are important and if a wallmart supervisor is the highest skill you have then you should not be paid the same as a doctor. Nor should the doctor be punished for putting in years of school to make a better life like libs want to do.

Nonsense, his overpaid union boss told him that all of those left wing talking points were true and like a good union boy he spreads it whenever he can. Sometimes you just have to let stupid people be stupid.

Look at the industries that are still heavily unionized like automobiles, steel workers, construction, port workers... these are all low IQ, manual labor industries where a guy just has to know how to run a fork lift, a crane, a welding machine or how to put tires on a car on an assembly line. These are jobs that union workers love because they're low IQ but they're very important therefore when they strike they cause everyone a ton of pain and cost tons of money. You don't see many large tech firms with unionized programmers, you don't see nuclear power stations designed by union engineers... no you see union steel workers coming in after the high IQ work is done by a non-union engineer who doesn't need to have his worth inflated because he's already valuable.

That is my point. You do not see high skill workers unionized so much as you do low skill workers.

If you are educated and have a skill to offer then your skill typically gets you higher pay. It's the unskilled worker that have an issue with highly educated highly skilled people getting paid worth their value and why they are all on board with Obama. Punish the people that took the time and paid the expense to increase their value in the workforce.

Well you think that way because you are and ignorant nativist. Had you been able to experience Western Europe as I did, had you received a proper education in civics, government, and international studies as I did you might know better. Only the most stupid grunt in the World would think humans should be exposed to a survival of the fittest economic policy.

You just don't know any better. German blue collar workers are so much better paid. They have high rates unionization. You're the typical white American nativist who thinks just because you work at Walmart you should be paid like dirt.

Blame, blame, blame the worker. It used to be that you didn't work hard enough. Now it's you didn't work hard enough, and you picked the wrong skill, and if you picked the right skill you didn't time your entry into the market when that skill would be in demand. So it's all your fault lazy workers!

Don't you think you should at least make an effort to write properly when you're accusing someone else of being ignorant?

The elitism of the left never seems to amaze me, it's humorous and depressing all at the same time.
