They do talk about membership, so to an absolutists I suppose that was all they talk about, huh?
No, it discusses the addition of right-to-work laws in some states and the removal of public unions in Wisconsin. It also discusses lobbying for Obama.

There's an undeniable correlation between the decline in unions and the decline in wages for middle class workers here in the US. I guess that's a good thing as long as those "union thugs" don't get good benefits and pensions anymore, though.
All you have shown is that worker's rights were violated.
For a worker's right to decline, it would have to be at the act of the government.
All you're doing is trying to put an arbitrary definition for what counts as something declining. At a Massey mine 30 years ago, if safety standards were ignored, the union could force ownership to fix it. Today, workers don't have the power or influence to do the same thing. That's right to a safe environment has DECLINED in Massey-owned mines. That's not arguable.
So once again: WOULD A UNION HAVE ALLOWED MASSEY TO FORCE WORKERS TO CHOOSE BETWEEN SAFETY AND A JOB?

You are missing the point. The workers brought their issues to ownership and were ignored. In a union-shop, if multiple workers have a safety-related problem, especially one that violates safety regulations, that union WILL force ownership to do something or they'll stop production.
There was once a time and a place for them, and thankfully that time has long since passed. Nowadays, they are nothing but havens for losers, degenerates, and parasites.
Oh, so you know, because you worked in a unionized workplace for a long time and saw it all?
There was a time in our past when unions were needed but with the tighter labor laws enacted the union have become an albatross around the very people they are suppose to help and the public at large. For example: the Public Employees Unions, just who do these people work for, the union or the public?
Unions are a parasite on the very people they represent, I mean PARASITE in the true sense of the work.
Why do people like you feel such a deep heart felt hatred and total resentment against labor unions? Have you actually been a union member in a unionized workplace before and became very upset after witnessing day after day what all went on?
