conservatives continue to prove how they don't want to discriminate against their fellow Americans with yet another thread where they support some other group of conservatives who single out some hated group of Americans for discrimination.

The core of conservatism is exclusion.

well, since alot of people like to state the Constitution and Bill of Rights overrule any state laws. the 1st Amendment and a persons right to express their freedom of religion does in fact overrule Oregons law of discrimination against the LBGT crowd.

Not according to the original constitution that allowed male landowners to own slaves vote and limited voting to only white male land owners.

So far only the Catholic Church can get away with "practicing their religion" when it reaches the courts.

Social equality for all, individualism for none.
Goes against the grain of being "collective".

So selling a cake is the same as owning a slave.
I just can't connect those dots like the left does.

The baker has a right to his views and as a private business, he doesn't have to serve everyone.
State law trumps his views.

Regardless of how one feels about smoking, state and/or municipal laws have made it illegal to allow smoking in the workplace, including bars and restaurants. Prior, an owner could determine if his place of business allowed or disallowed smoking and let the marketplace decides. State and/or municipal laws took away the owner's prior right to decide.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof...

So if the "free exercise" of my religion called for me to shoot anyone I think is ugly - would that be OK? After all, they are an abomination unto my lord. And murder would be tried in a state courtroom, not a federal one.
