Like most rights, the Second Amendment right is not unlimited. It is not a right to keep and carry any weapon whatsoever in any manner whatsoever and for whatever purpose.
The real issue is the "right to life" and the right to defend that life from attack. Guns are just the most convenient tool at this time.
When the servant government tells the people it serves that they must be partially disarmed, for whose benefit is it really?
Only the predators benefit from disarmament of the people.
Perhaps it is time to fire the servants.

They said all arms in common use are protected. The proposed law would outlaw the most popular guns. It would even make someone a criminal for having a single brick (550 rounds) of .22 rimfire ammo.
