Never been to South Africa, I do know that I'm raising my kids to be law abiding, if you decide it's a waste of time, well that's your right and opinion.

So you're saying all parents and schools are doing a bad job?

The fact that it is a crime means nothing??

I guess we should tell people not to murder, drink and drive, take drugs, steal, rob, have stolen guns too.

All our problems will disappear. Who'da thunk it was that easy.

Not all but many and many are doing a good job.

If you think teaching your kids to not hurt people is a waste of time, then don't do it. Just make sure you point your kid out to me so I can kep my kids a mile away.

You think all criminals did not know what they were doing is a crime?

I think many, if not the majority of criminals were not raised properly.

Raise your kids right and chances are overwhelming in your favor that they will be non violent.

I agree.

Yet all criminals still knowingly commit crimes.

Becausae the vast majority were raised to be criminals.

The "liberal" woman in the video said we shouild raise men to be non rapists. What is wrong with that?

Theres nothing wrong with it. But all rapists and molesters know its a crime, yet they will continue to do it.

Same with any other crime.

Many don't think it's morally wrong. So obviously they were not RAISED properly. which is what the woman in the video suggested.

No, it is feminist nonsense to say that telling women to take precautions is blaming the victim.

It is also feminist nonsense to twist the words of someone they debate with and make something sexist which was not sexist. You are continuously illustrating that in this thread in multiple posts to multiple people. And by using intellectually dishonest arguments, you do harm to the part of your argument which actually is true.

The sad thing is how people with your attitude are willing to let women get raped. Rather than giving people effective prevention strategies they'd rather label that "blaming the victim" and let them get raped in service to their political agenda.

That's pretty damn close. Since I never said women shouldn't take precautions, and you put THOSE words in my mouth so you could claim I'm using "feminist nonsense" and "willing to let women get raped," your agenda is pretty obvious.
I did not put those words in your mouth. I never claimed that you said women shouldn't take precautions. As I said in my previous post, what you do is say one thing and then later defend it by claiming it was something else. What I protested against was not any claim you made that women shouldn't take precautions, it was your frothing at the mouth about sexism and men hating women. Rape is not sexism. Rape is a crime.

"Women should be able to wear what they want and walk where they want when they want without fear" is a common refrain amongst feminists. Well yes it would be nice to live in a utopia like that. But we don't. Nobody on planet Earth is free to live without fear of crime.

Telling criminals not to commit crime is not an effective crimefighting strategy. What it is, is a nice slogan.

And yes, it is indeed willingness to let women get raped when you attempt to stop efforts to equip women to defend themselves. Advocating against doing things which would reduce rape displays a willingness to allow women to get raped. That is undeniable.

I heard about a police officer a couple months ago assigned to security at a convention who distributed flyers to the women there telling them what to avoid. A womens' advocacy group actually lodged a formal complaint against the officer with his department for blaming the victims instead of distributing a flyer to the men telling them not to rape.

I'm sorry, but that's stupid, and that is allowing women to be put in danger in service of advancing a political agenda.

Oh well. Lots of men hate and/or are afraid of women. *sigh* I should be used to it on C-D, too.
Thus again proving my claims about you. Disagree with jmqueen and you "hate women".
