Some men have no respect for themselves, and will never respect women.
They need to assert control and violence against women.
They don't get, no matter how many times it's repeated, that rape is a crime of violence and control.
AND THAT THEY SHOULD NOT RAPE.

I guess many men in the US society are afraid of women, or don't feel equal to them, and want to make them pay for their own inadequacies.

The people who SHOULD BE telling men not to rape are parents, teachers and others in authority.

Women are saying that men should be told this. The woman in question is repeating a theme that we all repeat every day. PLEASE TEACH MEN NOT TO RAPE, don't just expect women to take the full burden of preventing rape.

Women know this. Apparently not a single man on this thread is bright enough to understand.

No one is saying we can defend ourselves against an actual attacker. We ARE saying we should put as much focus on teaching men not to rape as on teaching women to defend themselves from rapists.

Jesus H. Christ, how many times do we have to explain it? It's not. that. difficult.

The sad thing is how people with your attitude are willing to let women get raped. Rather than giving people effective prevention strategies they'd rather label that "blaming the victim" and let them get raped in service to their political agenda.

Why take medicine? You just shouldn't get sick. Taking medicine is just blaming the victim.
What a stupid post.

Of course we have to teach women to defend themselves.

All we are saying is that MEN have to learn something too. It shouldn't just be women carrying the burden of preventing rape.

Of course, if you're a sexist idiot, you certainly don't believe we should teach boys and men NOT TO RAPE. You certainly believe the ONLY preventive measure to take is to teach women how not to "ask for it." Because you know, men are so helpless when faced with an attractive woman. Puke.

Stupid, stupid, stupid.

So men need to be told not to rape and all should get mental counseling.
No one is telling men they should rape

SO can you show me parents that are teaching their sons to rape? Because the ones i know already tell them its bad.
Are there teachers out their telling their male students its OK to rape? Have not heard about any

You want to tell men something that is already said at the same time not citing anyone who says the opposite.

We're saying, and I have no doubt the woman in the video is repeating, that teaching young men not to rape should be the FIRST PRIORITY in our society. Spending all our time teaching women how not to get raped is stupid and sexist, when it's the rapists who need to be taught how to live in a civilized world.

Don't spend all your time preaching at us to get guns. Spend your damn time telling young men not to rape.

Pretty simple, really, but you're all having so much fun making fun of rape victims, women and liberals that you keep missing the point.

No wonder we keep having to beg people to teach young men that rape is, you know, bad. Most men are too damn stupid to understand the concept, and spend their time and effort babbling about guns and liberals instead.

Oh yeh, teaching/telling men not to rape is working out real well in South Africa.....

Nobody claims that telling someone to lock their car doors in a high crime neighborhood is blaming the victim or giving permission to criminals to steal cars.

But telling women to avoid known risk factors is "blaming the victim instead of telling men not to rape"

Sorry, but the actual stupidity here is entirely on your side of the argument.

No that's not all you're saying. It's like saying "you complete idiot! why would you ever put that answer down!" and then saying "what? I'm innocent. all I did was say the question wasn't answered correctly"

You illustrate that in this very post with your hyperventilating about sexism.

Your inability to comprehend what is said to you does not make the other person stupid. If you disagree, please feel free to produce the quote where I said that the only preventative measure is to teach women not to ask for it. I predict in typical feminist fashion you will not produce any evidence I said anything of the sort, and yet will still blame me as if I had. Anybody can say "of course, if you're a X" and follow it with anything they want. But can you produce anybody actually saying that? No, you cannot.

Well, we have hundreds of rapes every day in this country. Who, exactly, is committing them? Robots?

Every time a man says "She asked for it," "She was wearing something too sexy," "She had no business being there," "She was drunk, that's why she was raped," or "Boys will be boys, wink wink," they are teaching boys that rape is acceptable. Or how about "She was a ****." "She has a history of ...." Or the precious "She can withdraw consent the next day" lie told right on this thread. That translates to "It's women's fault we don't know how not to rape, wahhhhh, the laws are too hard."

Hell, courtrooms are the places where rape victims are raped AGAIN, routinely. The victim is blamed every day. Don't believe me? Google it.

Gosh, I wonder where boys get the idea that it's OK to rape?

The attitudes displayed on this thread demonstrate quite clearly that many men simply don't get it, and don't want to. No wonder boys get the wrong ideas. You TELL them one thing but act out in another. You teach them that women should carry guns, otherwise they're asking to be raped. You insist that it's up to women to prevent rape, not up to men NOT to rape. You tell boys that the laws are too complicated to understand because women are soooo devious in luring them in to rape.

The depth of ignorance on this thread would be breathtaking, if I didn't already know that most men don't understand. And never will, because it's too damn easy to blame women.
