Yeah, not much to discuss here... aside from the OP and one or two others, it seems everyone is on the same page. I guess you can report it, and let the mods decide if it's worth closing now (sometimes easier just to let it die a natural death).
Generally speaking most of the smoking laws seek to ban smoking of any substance. It will be interesting to see how the medical marijuana thing plays out.
You are correct, and I say that as a legal medical user in the state of California. Anywhere cigarette smoking is banned, technically marijuana is banned too... whether they enforce the rules equally is debatable, though, since most are more tolerant of the latter than the former.
In the case of private (rental) dwellings, the landlords can make their own rules for each - some will allow pot but not cigarettes, and the opposite is rare but sometimes applies too. The code word here is now "Prop 215," so if you see "no Prop 215" or "Prop 215-friendly" in a rental ad, that clues you in to their rules on the matter.
