Here's a thought--- How do I tell the gun owner who's just choosing to exercise his Constitutional rights by picking up trash while armed, from the mentally ill guy who will take that gun to a movie theater, school or park and start shooting?

I don't walk around in fear, but this kid makes me uneasy and if it were my neighborhood I'd have a problem.

Kids are armed all the time in my neighborhood, and I have not had a problem with them or with burglars in the ten years I have lived in this house. Although, one kid did come to my door a few years ago. He was unarmed and a moose stood between him and his home. I think he was either 8 or 9 years old at the time. I complimented him on taking the right course of action by soliciting help. I got my firearm, and escorted him safely to his home without provoking the moose.

Ok, so since there is zero chance of moose in the Connecticut suburbs, I refer you to the question in my previous post.

I use my firearms for target shooting, which is recreation and hunting which feeds me and my family. Here is what you need to know. The second ammendment guarantees my rights to keep my firearms and there is going to be NOTHING that you are going to do to change that. So get over it and move on.

I'm not trying to change that. You are welcome to keep your firearms and as long as you are law abiding and sane I support your rights.

Again, I am asking in this situation, what rights do the neighbors have? How do we know this kid is sane? He acts pretty weird... And doesn't seem to be concerned at all with the feelings of others.

I would not be caught dead in Connecticut suburbs, or within 1,000 miles of Connecticut for that matter. The entire northeastern area (except for maybe Vermont) is far too close to the USSR for my freedom-loving tastes. Any place that thinks limiting the size of the magazines will prevent future Newtown massacres is simply too stupid to even contemplate living in such a hell-hole.

I live in a State that actually recognizes and respects my constitutionally protected inherent individual rights. Why would I ever leave?

They can see Russia from their house? Palin must be excited.

BTW: In case the news hasn't hit Alaska, the USSR was dissolved on December 26, 1991.

Certain localities have ordinances, but for the most part, if he is not threatening anyone with his rifle or creating a disturbance in a lot of places he is committing no crime. Myself, I would walk up to him and ask him what he was doing in a friendly manner.... Maybe get to know who I am dealing with rather than to jump to conclussions.

The USSR is still alive and well in northeastern US. They do not have to look for Russia in the northeastern States, they ARE Russia, the Russia prior to 1991. Complete with Dictators like Bloomberg.

FYI: On a clear day, you CAN see Russia from Alaska. The distance is only a mile apart between the Diomede Islands. It is only your ignorance that makes you think that is funny. Everyone in Alaska merely accepts it as a statement of fact.
