As poster Dale Cooper said, Pres. Obama sets the tone. Now maybe there is a direct connection between Obama and the IRS scandal; maybe not. Maybe we'll never know.
But we will know this: will people at the IRS be held accountable for these serious affronts? Will he make heads roll for this? Obama is a smart guy; he can figure out how to make that happen if he wants to.
So far it's not looking good. We've got one guy retired a few weeks early, w/ full pension, and another on paid admin leave, drawing about $200K in taxpayer dollars for sitting at home thumbing her nose at congress and the American people.
It is perhaps to soon to draw a conclusion about Pres. Obama regarding this scandal, but in 6 months or so well we be able to do so.
Seriously, why? Outside of the fact that the IRS was unfairly targeting Tea Party groups and Tea Party groups generally oppose Obama, there doesn't appear to be any linkage between the two. If there is, hopefully it's discovered, but there really isn't a reason to believe so.
But it's more fun when everything is Obama's fault, right?
The IRS doesn't give a crap who is Republican or Democrat or if you are "pink" "purple" or "blue"!Flaunt massive amounts of money around and the IRS will see it!

So why did they target conservative groups, as the IG found that they did, and as they have now admitted to having done?
One thing has come out of the IRS scandal already. What can the federal gov't do to citizens, and still be excused by lefty CD posters? Answer appears to be: pretty much anything.

Don't u know by now, Dem Motto is, our guys can do anything and is acceptable. Your Guys, do the same and we will nail you. Pretty much reality of the siutation and how it really is. Disgusting is what it is, and to excuse anyone for the scandals put before us, and the lies and deceit is unbelievable and unacceptable at the same time.
Anf for the dumb asses running this Country who seem to not know a damn thing about any scandal is just appaling and humilating. What do they take us for, excuse me, well some! We know what they take them for.
The "smoking gun" that Bill O`Reilly claimed to have regarding this made up scandal fizzled out like a wet stogie.Bill claimed that the Bush appointed IRS commissioner attended White House gattherings 157 times between 2009 and 2012.Douglas Shulman actually was cleared to meet with White House officials 157 times but 76% of the meetings were about implementing healthcare reform. The former IRS commissioner actually attended 11 of these meetings. The rightwing media gets duped again. Or maybe you just duped yourself. You want to see this as a rightwing=stupid narrative. I didn't hear anyone else saying it was a 'smoking gun,' and if O'Reilly said that without knowing the content of the meetings he was obviously stupid. But O'Reilly is just one guy, and IMO more of a populist than a real conservative, and in some ways not the sharpest tool in the shed.
People I heard talking about this were raising it as a question, which was fine. To get your final conclusion you would have to have quotes from more than just one right wing source. What about the NRO, the WSJ editorial page, Rush Limbaugh, Michelle Malkin, IBD, etc?
Why would an IRS guy,APPOINTED BY BUSH,be involved with the current president in some sort of conspiracy?
