When I think of Chicago I think of the Cubs, the lake, Chicago dogs, Chicago style pizza, the Loop, the El, urban city life, friendly midwestern people, great walkable neighborhoods, architecture, a cleaner city than NYC, and overall great city that I can't wait to visit again.
Fantastic city, great architecture ( Art Deco and Modernist), bitterly cold winters and stiflingly hot summers, jazz and blues clubs, fabulous restaurants, great art and cultural scene, fab museums and art galleries, a lot of strong winds, ice storms, crime, gangs, Al Capone, Elliot Ness, prohibition, no-go areas ( see gangs), fabulous wealth, great deprivation, and some great scenery not too far from the city.
