East coast liberals are even more psycho than west coast, and both are getting worse every day.

The principal saying kids will be suspended for even saying the word "gun" isn't a single instance, it's a lunatic determined to push his political views on the school.

Only if what they don't like conflicts with what the administration likes. As long as they toe the party line, no matter how radical, they'll be fine.

Chuck said it pretty well.

At some point (which we have crossed quite a while ago), it ceases to be intelligent and proactive and just becomes ignorant and paranoid. Then it only serves to harm others.

That is a pretty unfair statement. Just because someone doesn't like how you are going about your goal doesn't mean that they don't support or share your goal.

What a revolting and insulting thing to say, of course it's expected from the left if you don't agree with them.

Events like Sandy Hook didn't happen when back when kids could legally bring guns to school. Instead of looking back at what worked liberals continue to push policies that clearly aren't working.

I have no problem with that scenario. It should of ended when the Principal spoke to the child and got the whole story. He blew it but I don't think he should be fired, as long as he uses this situation as a learning experience.

For those unfamiliar with this area it is a semi-rural/agricultural County southeast of Washington. It has received an influx of people from the more urbanized regions of MD over the last twenty years, many of whom have been agitating for the cessation of hunting and water related occupations (crabbing, mostly). We made the news a few years ago when one of our residents (now deceased) shot an emu while goose hunting.

As far as the Deputy questioning the father goes (apparently, according to the Sheriff here, at the behest of the school system), I thought many of you have said that Law Enforcement won't go after people's firearms.

Again with the fallacious arguments. One can address what he said in terms that do not include 10 day suspension. Apparently the desire for those running our schools to have some common sense isn't universal.

I hope those of the left are willing to go to bat for this child, as nobody should be punished for what they say in a public context that is not threatening. I do hope that this principle gets his ass handed to him and gets fired.

maybe more people will pull their children out of the public school system and school them at home.

Okay, so let's review the rules according to the news that has come out over the past weeks. Feel free to add to the ever-growing list as the news comes out daily with more inane things you can't do or if I've missed anything (as we have seen, failure to obey these rules results in yoru child's suspension from school, being dressed down by a principal, unreasonable searches and possible seizures without a warrant, visits by law enforcement:

1. You must teach your children how to eat a waffle so it doesn't remotely accidentally come close to looking like a gun
2. You can never mention the words, "Sandy Hook," even if expressing grief--especially if you are a child
3. Never post a picture on Facebook of any member of your family involved in activities related to guns as a hobby.
4. Can't even accidentally point your finger in any manner that looks like a gun, especially if you are a child.
5. You can only play with a Lego gun, toy gun, a toy holding a gun, a toy pointing his finger like a gun or anything else that looks aggressive unless you are in your own home or the home of a trusted friend, especially if you are a child. Yo might want to even do away with toys that have an agressive look on their face.
6. Don't name a deaf child who must use sign language with a name related to anything guns, such as "Hunter" that might accidentally look like a sign of a gun. The schoiol relented on this, but you never know.
7. Teach your child to never, ever, say the words "gun," "shoot," or probably even "protect" in public
8. Just as a precaution, you might never ever want to send your child to school in camos or anything with a camo pattern.

Note: This does not apply to reasonable concerns of bullying or a child or adult going postal.

Yes, this entire message is sarcasm.
