Just a question, I can't seem to find info anywhere.
This woman's mother is from Haiti and her father is from the Dominican Republic. Was this girl born in the US? I hear a lot of people blaming the public school system but we don't know for sure that she went through the US public school system completely do we?

Excellent point... We do know however how she conducts herself and irrespective of her education, her conduct speaks volumes...
My teenage daughter tries that as well. All I need to do is say please speak up and she does. She doesn't carry on this "bs disrespectful attitude" for hours on end. This girl is an example of wasted youth and shoddy parenting. She is in a court of law. Show some respect.
Your way doesn't necessarily mean it's the right way. For me, after a few "Huh? What did you say?, etc", I usually just drop the conversation and wait to pick it up when she's in a better mood. No sense for me to go down the "I'm your parent and you will speak up when talking to me!" path. Sure, I could do it (and she would), but it just breeds resentment.
It's clear that this girl DOES NOT want to be there and is showing her annoyance. I can guarantee she doesn't talk so low and "mumbly" in real life. The problem in this case is that there is no option for a "pause until we're more open to a discussion" button, so the torture continues...
re: respect. If you have a teen, then you know that showing respect to authority figures is not exactly high on their list when they are annoyed and looking to show you their displeasure.

My teens are long since grown and moved away.. That said, even when they were upset, they were NEVER disrespecful. They have all turned into fine adults and it was NO accident...
Exactly! I think that many of the people that are saying some mean things haven't been around teens in awhile. Personally I haven't been a teen in a long time and I would be getting annoyed with him myself.
I think her frustration is because the defense keeps asking her the same question (with minor variations) over and over again. At one point that I heard, she even sighs and says "Again, I said...".
I don't know why the prosecution is letting that go on. It's almost badgering the witness.
How many times did I hear in the Jodi Arias trial "objection, your honor, asked and answered"?
Zimmerman's defense seems to be winning so far. They have established that Trayvon was on top in the scuffle. This doesn't prove that Zimmerman was justified in using deadly force, but it is a victory for him.
