It suits my business needs to 'marry' one of my business partners , but I am a hetero.

Would this be possible to do, or would I have to prove my orientation status somehow?

Do heterosexual couples need to prove their orientation? No? Then that's your answer right there.

Congratulations! Will one of you be wearing a wedding dress or two tuxedos? Make sure you don't order your cake from one of those homophobic bakeries.

Oh brother.

The lengths some homophobes will go to.

Millions of heteros have gotten married for all kinds of reasons besides love or procreation for millennia. Until the 20th century, marriage was intended as a way to keep your money, get another family's money, or seal political alliances.

Nothing whatsoever makes your silly scenario any different.

Well it's easier to find a bro willing to troll the state for money than it is a woman. Women get nostalgic about state-certified relationships as a rule.

No joke OP I've considered it too. I still am. I'd save thousands a year.

Why not? What could the moral objection possibly be? That I'm degrading the sanctity of marriage? Lol...
