please explain fundamental to our very existence and survival in the context of forced sterilization?
who is talking about forced sterilization? I didn't. I'm speaking to normal everyday human beings, who wish to get married.
If you're in forced sterilization , then you broke a law and its part of your sentencing and/or probation. I don't have any say over convicts who are forced to be sterilized (they usually have to do with kiddie molesters)
Yes - on the basis of biological criteria, not behavior and chosen lifestyles.
Being male or female is not a chosen trait.
It is discrimination based on gender to allow a male to do something (marry a woman) that a female can not do, or allow a female to do something (marry a man) that a male can not do.
THAT is biological criteria, not a chosen lifestyle.
haha. I will be dead by then. I can move around until then to avoid the huge tax increases the gays are causing.
What huge tax increases?
The CBO has found that SSM would IMPROVE the budgets bottom line.
Quote:
t. The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimates that on net,
those impacts would improve the budget’s bottom line to a small extent: by less
than $1 billion in each of the next 10 years (CBO’s usual estimating period). That
result assumes that same-sex marriages are legalized in all 50 states and recognized by the federal government.
I'm straight as an arrow, and get the skeevies when I see two dudes kissing. BUT, everyone deserves to be free and make their own choices and live their own life. I'm baffled by how much conservatives are concerned with what other people are doing in their own personal lives.
If you "think" that any founder of this country was in favor of same gender "marriage" you must also believe that the British only lost the war because little green men helped the Continental Army win the battle of Saratoga
please tell me which member of congress that voted on the 14th Amendment who agreed with your interpretation?
for some reason I don't remember anyone discussing same gender "marriage" in the debate about that amendment.
how about finding even 1 member of the state legislatures that approved the bill (before it became law) that was in favor of same gender "marriage"
If you can show 1 person who voted on the 14th amendment, before it became the law of the land, then I'll agree with you.
1 out of more than a few 1000 shouldn't be so difficult if you were right.
I would have more respect for homolovers if they knew how to tell the truth.
Can you produce a list of State laws that are not subject to the 14th amendment's equal protection clause.
"No State shall make or enforce any law"
"nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."
The amendment applies to all State laws, not just the laws present when passed.
