Yes, he may be an idiot, but being an idiot and strutting around is not illegal. Arresting somebody for no valid reason is illegal.

Loudmouth? I didn't hear him say anything. What did you hear him say?

Last time I checked, filming a "peace" officer was not against any law.

Why not use pepper spray. Isn't that why they have it. Obviously the dog thinks someone is trying to hurt his owner. So of course he's going to react.

Discharging a weapon on a street full of people is totally reckless, to say the least. Just shows the flagrant disregard LE has for the public's safety.
1) police were wrong to handcuff this guy, and that should be noted /pursued

2) police were justified in shooting the dog, as it was a threat.

Ignoring that you haven't a clue regarding whether or not the order was illegal, so what? The dog was not complying with anything. It was attacking.

Nothing in the video gives the slightest indication that the cops cared one whit about being filmed.

Nobody has ever been at risk of arrest because of "my perception."

From where Im sitting, tbe cop WANTED to shoot the dog. It does seem that the dogs owner was being provacative...somehow. Not sure whats really going on here. However, the dog was NOT fully out of control. If he had been, the cop he centered on would have been took down. I doubt that shooting the dog will have any repercussions though. Legally, he was a threat. In reality, not so much. Not enough for ...whatf was it 3 or 4 rounds, point blank? Meh. What a fiasco.

Thank you for posting this. I watched it lastnight and find it very disturbing. Of course the dog was trying to help his owner, and appeared confused as to what to do. Perhaps the owner could have calmed him down by commands. What a horrible thing to happen, and completely unnecessary, in that he shouldn't have been arrested in the first place. Supreme court ruled that cops can be filmed and obviously should be at every opportunity. freakin pigs
