Just one of many cases where this law was adopted. Why did this man have an ice pick to begin with? Who drives with an ice pick at hand? Perhaps, a nutjob? How do we know he is telling the truth, we can't hear another guy's version cuz he's dead! The race is also a factor, and they are quick to attack black people and then claim self defense, but the gun happy redneck nutjobs are killing other white people too so everyone should be concerned. As someone posted in the Zimmerman thread: Florida Man Shoots Pizza Restaurant Patron for Complaining About Slow Service, Tells Police He Was Standing His Ground

Florida man kills door-to-door salesman: I’ll kill anybody that steps on my property Florida man kills door-to-door salesman: I

This craziness needs to stop.
What are you, some kinda pinko?

Amurrrikins have tha God-given right to tote guns, and shoot on sight anyone who they perceive as a threat.

Get with the program!

Still one of the most informative articles on SYG: Florida 'stand your ground' law yields some shocking outcomes depending on how law is applied | Tampa Bay Times

So is self defense law. Repeal that first.

The fact that the victim doesn't have to consider fleeing before defending themselves is a mockery of justice and responsibility? This isn't a license to kill Margritte, the homicide still has to be justified with or without SYG.

SYG, is natures law....

Our nation was founded upon the notion, the strong will survive and make the nation stronger.
As much as social engineering and social justice try, you will never ever change the laws of nature.

A piece of advise to you: relying on news or Hollywood about the law is far worse listening to a janitor about medical advice.

Media notoriously and purposely distort facts to ..... sell paper and get rating.

So stop quoting the news. Instead, cite court cases!!!

You don't get a fracture nose and lumps on the back of your head, by having a conversation....
After a punch in the nose, would you feel threatened? Remember I can kill you with my hands and feet, elbows and knees.

When does one perceive as a threat. Talking or getting punched?
If everyone was packing heat, society would be more polite.

This is correct. There was never a requirement not to SYG.

I do believe that Zimmerman believed Trayvon to be unarmed.
