Stop it. The president is over the CIA. If the CIA is smuggling arms in the middle east and the president is blissfully unaware that in no way makes him look better.
If it could possibly be a real scandal then the President has to be ignorant otherwise he'd be complicit.

That the Pres is not aware of the details would be no shock. That he is unaware of a direction in the CIA to help the "good guys" in the Syria rebels would be a shock.

Who would be high enough to give the ok to the CIA to defy both Congress and the UN regarding shipping guns to Syria ?

Yes, but Obama had ZERO executive experience before being elected to the highest executive position in the world. It is possible, although unlikely, he knew nothing in advance, found out, got cold feet - covered it up to help his election chances - and is now stuck perpetuating another lie.
So in other words the administration knew about it the whole time and lied every step of the way and liberals and democrats on these very boards have thousands of posts defending The Videoâ„¢ and Acts of Terrorâ„¢...
I hope this story blows up but I highly doubt it. Every one of the suckers that feel for this crap should be shown for what they are, gullible POS that did everything within their power to demean, deride and attack people who called this whole thing for what it was.
This latest CNN story explains what the CIA may have been doing in Benghazi. It does not alter the circumstances of the attack on the US Mission in Benghazi or the understanding of why that attack occurred. It also doesn't alter the fact that it was the CIA that linked the attack on the mission to the video.
But the attack was really an out of hand protest over a YouTube video still, right guys? I mean some obscure video with under 500 views got a bunch of people riled up, most of which don't have unfettered access to YouTube to begin with, so they got their RPGs and went out to protest, at which point a few bad apples started attacking the consulate?
They did have access to the broadcasts in Cairo that called for demonstrations at the U.S. embassy in Cairo because of the video. Its the CIA that linked the attack in Benghazi to the demonstrations in Cairo over the video.
