LOL !!! great movie.. and the song was "scotty didn't know"

I try not to let my distaste for certain actors private lives keep me from their movies. I think Tom Cruise is a complete whack job but enjoy his movies. Same with Matt Damon. This movie looks good, I'm looking forward to seeing it.

So what does our future have in store for us ? Something like District 9 ? Like Elysium ? Like Idiocracy ?

This is a more realistic scenerio: The upper and middle class get tired of carrying the rest of the non-producers and join together to clear them out.......Leaveing the world with waaaaayyyy less population pressure!

Why does everything has to be politically infused? I enjoyed the screening and I did not know anything about it being political propaganda until I read it here. It is just entertainment.

Read what the director said about. It is not from here it is from the director.

The film takes place on both a ravaged Earth and a luxurious space habitat called Elysium. It will explore political and sociological themes such as immigration, health care and class issues. When asked whether the film reveals how he sees Earth turning out in 140 years, director Blomkamp responded "No, no, no. This isn't science fiction. This is today. This is now."

He pretends to have no money and to not be an elitist. And he's laughably unconvincing so his major acting role is a complete failure.
