I agree 100%, I immediately think that I am dealing with a far right wacko that is all butthurt about Obama winning the election.

One wonders whether effectively treating depression and anxiety among liberals would make them "better" and thus be conservatives.
Pretty small sample sizes there and no where do I see political leaning cited as causal. That all ya got?

Then again, as far as depression and anxiety go, I guess ignorance being bliss would explain lower rates in conservatives, eh?

And really, a March 2005 survey? Any sane person would be a bit anxious and depressed considering who was in the White House at the time .

You're probably a great guy with honest feelings about the flag. But if you're honest, you also have to admit that there are a lot of nutjobs out there boasting about their "Don't Tread on Me" beliefs making the rest of us wonder about their sanity, and also making the rest of you look bad.

I feel the same way when someone starts ranting about how they're a great patriot. Since there are so many scary people out there living on white supremacist compounds and stuff who believe the rest of us are the enemy ... I always look hard before I accept that the person doing the ranting isn't one of them.

It's also like the gun owners on another current thread who are feel that other gun owners who rant about "watering the tree of liberty" are excessive and make the gun owner crowd look bad.

Yes, it's the nuts that have ruined it all. And yes, it tourques me that I get classified thus. This current trend of symbols and even word getting hijacked by nut cases is annoying, beyond words. That such a national symbol be tossed to the garbage beap like this is criminal. And, judgement is always immediate and absolute. Such frustrating times we live in.

If I see it as a bumper sticker on a car I immediately assume the driver has a gun. Most also have a bumper sticker that is anti-Obama and one that says something like "Gun Control Means Using Both Hands". Which means I don't honk at him no matter how lousy his driving is.

Thankfully I'm seeing fewer and fewer. I'd like to see Gadsden (and the rest of America) get his flag back.
