Note the law is geared toward banning it for kids, not adults. Adults can visit shamans, priests, witch doctors, quacks and hypnotists to their heart's content to vanquish "the gay."

Sheesh.........I'm not questioning whether this is valid. I've stated over and over that I believe people are born gay and a therapist can no more change that than they can make the blind see but I am wondering if this therapy is done by licensed therapists or by those who are not?

I would question the credentials of any "licensed" therapist who actually thinks this works. They may have a license, but they're still a quack. However, my guess is most "therapists" who try this are probably Christian therapists who don't actually have psychology degrees.

This "treatment" is practiced mainly by fundamentalist Christian groups and has been condemned by the American Psychiatric Association.
