There are some funky things that exist which people refuse to consider on either side of the science versus faith thing. They are too wrapped up in the societal changes, the politics, in seeing progress in devolution by every greasy finger swipe on treated glass.
Look at the experiments we conduct today. If we are doing it and we are not the only sentient beings in the galaxy... it would be silly to think others aren't far beyond us in technology or below us. Look at the difference between a simple village in the Amazon or Afghanistan and NYC with everything else in-between on Earth.
Would it be so silly if the galaxy were like that too?
I'm the last one you need to attempt to convince otherwise. I've always have been of the mind that it would be really sad if the people of the planet Earth were the best the universe had to offer.
I'm not sure where the funding comes or how popular the one that you short a link to is, however the one that's three blocks from my place is a fairly small Museum in the heart of the Bible Belt where I happen to live.Even though, I rarely see people go into it. I have no idea how they keep the doors open, but then again maybe that's a gods will.

Has anyone noticed that all the called revealed books such as the Old Testament the New Testament the Koran and the book of Mormons etc all were conceived by people with visions while in solitude and the wilderness? Moses wind up the mountain, Mohammad lived in a cave, and Joseph Smith went up a hill. Even Buddha went and sat on under a tree.
All had visions and all convinced superstitious people that positions were supernatural. Today we call people like that having a mental illness.
“Over and over again, bad designs make sense as byproducts of evolution. They make no sense if you posit that they’re the product of a creator’s whim — UNLESS you think that creator’s whim was to fool us into thinking that life had evolved. And who wants to believe in a god like that?†-Jerry Coyne
I am almost 100% certain they were taught about evolution in K-12.
You can teach biology without talking about humans, but that's not what I was implying. You can't teach biology without talking about evolution.
Sure you can.
Of course, doing so is a terrible idea that leads to the kind of scientific ignorance that puts us on par with countries like Turkey. I have no idea why someone would see ignorance and the rejection of reality as good things, but apparently some do.
The irony is that you're probably all wrong, cept for the one vote for Intelligent Design. We were probably seeded by aliens. We don't appear to be evolving to me.
Is there any factual scientific basis for intelligent design?
No? Then no.
