Obviously the price of goods and services will rise.

Perhaps you should read up on this dude called Henry Ford and his crazy ideas of providing good wages. Higher wages means people can spend more or invest more.

However, it is certainly chicken vs the egg question.

Are you taking into account the other expenses that will now increase for him?

SS for instance?

You folks don't really understand Washington's economics and demographics.... I mean it's ok. But it ain't Texas or some other low cost, low regulation state.

Who is supposed to set the "living wage" you're blabbing about.

Gertrude, I think we have a real, live communist!

I don't have to prove squat. THEY have to prove it, and they can't.

Private sector profits have never been higher..... There is no demand. It's a vicious cycle.
You're truly in some land of make-believe.

Profits? What's that? The number of failed businesses over the last 5 years is almost unbelievable.

Washington gets away with it because they have eastern Washington and Boeing to produce things. However, they have legislated the cost of living into the stratosphere. Eventually, Boeing will give up and move, and Seattle will turn into a ghost town.

Of course you don't have to prove squat. But of course, if you WANTED to go the extra mile to prove you falsification of a claim..... Not that anyone who has noticed your posting trend has any faith you could do so.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm......................it's almost like we had some sort of economic crisis in which trillions of dollars of PRIVATE assets lost value. Glad you finally made it out from your rock. Sounds like a great 5 years to be in business..... But of course most businesses have ALWAYS failed.

But yes, private sector profit is very high right now.

So now I've validated my claim.... YOUR TURN!

They've already moved some of their operations down here to our neck of the woods. Oh and they FREAKED out. We had union members spamming our local newspaper's comments for weeks on end. To say they were nasty was an understatement.

No, I do not know what the other expenses are or how they are calculated, do you?....I would think with an increase of only $5.80 it wouldn't be very much.

You forgot their very profitable technology sector. Bay Area with all their "California-ness" is still home to the world's most educated and talented workforce, not to mention the largest group of venture capitalists on the planet. Some economic sectors rely on a high standard of living.
