Actually Tarantino speaks well of him and they have a good relationship.
Very true - and Tarantino has made him a lot of money.
Obviously not everyone has crazy Weinstein stories but there are some epic ones out there.
Walter Murch wrote about Harvey's meltdowns w/ Minghella while editing "Cold Mountain".

I noticed the 40 something used by Obama as example at his recent speech who said ACA would make her insurance cheaper ;apparently got a new job. She how says that means she went from 148 month to 600+ for insurance. She now says she will not buy it because she can't afford it. Depends if your paying for the subsidity or being subsidized within the exchanges for many. Then; of course; 2017 sees the medicaid state cost skyrocket for many and the excise tax in 2018.
I'll dig around. I definitely do NOT recommend Walter Murch's "Behind the Seen".
Unless of course you're a film editor or wanna hear him whine about his orthopedic shoes.
From industry notes on HBO's Entourage:
HARVEY WEINSTEIN DID NOT LIKE HIS DOPPLEGANGER “HARVEY WEINGARD”
It seems Harvey Weinstein doesn’t believe imitation was the sincerest form of flattery. After a foul-mouthed producer named Harvey Weingard appeared in season two, Connolly says he got an earful from the famously abrasive producer. “I’m at a party. Harvey Weinstein just came over and told me to tell my producers they’re dead. ‘Tell them if they ever mention my name again, they’re dead.’” Those lines made their way into an episode during a later season. Ellin said Weinstein called after the episode and said he enjoyed it.
Well if you recall, your president said the killings in Benghazi were due to a video. Your great leader believes that the influence of film is measured in American deaths. This reflects obama's alignment with the gloabal view of America that is trumpeted to our frenemies who judge us by the films of hollywood.
The world view of Hollywood?
Then there is this from the center for globalization... not your right wing fringe
"Black Hawk Dawn, Zero Dark Thirty and Argo, those are only a few major recent productions showing how today’s movie industry promotes US foreign policy. But the motion picture has been used for propaganda since the beginning of the 20th century and Hollywood’s cooperation with the Department of Defense, the CIA and other government agencies is no modern trend.
With Michelle Obama awarding Ben Affleck’s Argo the Oscar for best movie, the industry showed how close it is to Washington. According to Soraya Sepahpour-Ulrich, Argo is a propaganda film concealing the ugly truth about the Iranian hostage crisis and designed to prepare the American public for an upcoming confrontation with Iran:
Foreign policy observers have long known that Hollywood reflects and promotes U.S. policies (in turn, is determined by Israel and its supporters). This fact was made public when Michelle Obama announced an Oscar win for “Argo” – a highly propagandist, anti-Iran film. Amidst the glitter and excitement, Hollywood and White House reveal their pact and send out their message in time for the upcoming talks surrounding Iran’s nuclear program [...]
Hollywood has a long history of promoting US policies. In 1917, when the United States entered World War I, President Woodrow Wilson’s Committee on Public Information (CPI) enlisted the aid of America ’s film industry to make training films and features supporting the ‘cause’. George Creel, Chairman of the CPI believed that the movies had a role in “carrying the gospel of Americanism to every corner of the globe.”

"'The Hoax of Hollywood'
The decision on the lawsuit came after a group of Iranian cultural officials and movie critics screened the film in a closed audience in a Tehran theatre late on Monday.
The gathering, titled "The Hoax of Hollywood", discussed various legal aspects of filing a lawsuit, media reports said, without providing details.
It remains unclear what specific charges Iran could raise and what court Tehran could turn to if the action goes ahead.
This was not the first time Iran has claimed that Hollywood has pushed a distorted picture of the country.
In 2009, Iran demanded an apology from a team of visiting Hollywood actors and movie industry officials, including Annette Bening, saying films such as "300" and "The Wrestler" were "insulting" to Iranians.
The "300" angered Iranians who said the Greeks-versus-Persians action flick insults their ancient culture and provokes animosity against Iran."
yeah, blame it on Hollywood while the 1% right wingers stick their hands up your butt to make your lips move.
Just because MSNBC is up yours, doesn't mean anyone is up his.
He "blamed" it on Hollywood because the thread is about a quote from Harvey Weinstein. Weinstein's remarks are right there in the original post. There's no blame shifting here. The guy's right there on video saying the stuff. You're like Nancy Pelosi saying that Obama never said people could keep their insurance when we have video of Obama saying exactly that.
