Note the word "reportedly" received. I believe this is a hoax.
Yeah, not even any New York news sources are reporting this, just the same article being passed around on far right wing sites. My bet is this started from someplace like the Onion or Daily Currant.

It was one notice sent to one resident and if you notice it indicates "it appears you have....", The OP is confusing the SAFE Act that went into effect this year with NY City regulations that have been on the books for years, have to wonder where they have been for since "it begins". Truth is this has always been enforced and no one took issue. I wouldn't want to let misinformation to get in the way of a riveting thread.

I have to laugh at the some the hysterics that people would actual leave NY City because are restricted to bullets magazines, as if that is a priority to anyone in their right mind.

Yes, not being allowed to have a fully automatic assault rifle is such an unbearable burden. How will people every survive?

If someone was somehow able to purchase an assault rifle legally, there is no reason they should not be allowed to keep it. This isn't just a second amendment issue, but fourth and fifth as well.

ps 'automatic assault rifle' is redundant. Assault rifles are automatic. It's like saying Automated ATM Machine.

You have provided many excellent posts and points in this thread, and I repped you. But you're mistaken generalizing us in the very liberal North-East. Surely in NYC we vote 122% Democrat. Surely we got many ignorant, uneducated, illiterate, uncultured liberals. Starting with the elites.

We are rushing to regress back into a very old and tired economic-political system, such as a dictatorial state, a tyranny, of which socialism is a flavor of. Pseudo-intellectuals always fall for it. Ironically, their heads will be the first to roll. Their creativity will be the first one to be suppressed, controlled, manipulated, or strictly dictated by the political agenda.

But there are many of us patriotic citizens in the North-East who have sworn to uphold the Constitution, nothing more, nothing less, at any cost. And are doing and will be doing our part to fight for it.

2A is not about to protect against gangs and criminals. It is not also about hunting deer. It is simply about a last-ditch measure to protect AGAINST a tyrannical Govt.

Bumping this thread because I was really hoping to get some sort of response from LauraC and Three Wolves In Snow.
As I said in my previous posts, I really don't get where Laura C's post was coming from, and as Three Wolves pointed out, I do not understand the concept of "Thou Shalt Not Kill", so I was hoping that he could clear that up for me.

Thanks
