The reason why anal sex easily spread HIV is that the area they are having intercourse in, the anus, is very sensitive and the risk for bleeding or skin tearing is great and therefor body fluids gets mixed up easier.
So use a condom.

This type of thread warrants a warning. It's disgusting, really. Perhaps some City-Data posters are too ignorant to know any better than to post such hateful nonsense, but at some point City-Data should either moderate it out, or post a disclaimer that warns people about what they are hosting.
That does really tell the whole story. For each man its like a candy store since men are more into noncommittal sex. Its like kindling. Its also the case that men both catch an receive so depending on the vector, much more opportunity for something to spread.
seriously straight people also have anal intercourse. get a grip people. there are other ways to get aids too. aids like all horrible deadly illnesses needs to be researched and cured. it matters not who or how the illness gets contracted. all people deserve to live a healthy life.
