but y'all do realize the topic is about the long-term fluctuations of climate (decades, centuries), and not the short-term fluctuations of weather... right?
very true, but if you look at the geological record, you will find a cooling trend over the last 3 million years.
The deniers clearly do not understand the difference between sea ice, shelf ice and land ice. Or how sea ice is formed in the Antarctic.
Does it matter? The Antarctic sea ice is growing, so the scammers only point to the ice in the Arctic as their proof of man caused global warming, even though science does not yet understand the complexities of the Arctic ocean.
The warmers have been proven wrong time and again.
The science is not settled. Its only theory. Theory is not fact. Fact it stopped warming over 15 years ago.
Fact: the MWP was decidedly warmer then than now.
Fact: all GW figures have been revamped time and again to suit their masters theories.
Fact: Australia and Canada have stopped this carbon tax foolishness.
Theory: the earth is warming. Not proven
Fact: the earth heats and cools periodically.

The problem seems to be that you are only focusing on the surface air temperature in the Antarctic. This seems to be a common problem for people who tend to read denialist blogs.
You keep posting these links and you don't even understand the basics. Ocean temperatures could not possibly have been effected by 20th century warming, as it takes hundreds of years for the massive bodies of water to warm. The entire premise behind man made global warming is a 20th century event ... i.e. industrial production of CO2 that was not present when a warming event would have had to take place in order to warm oceans, which would have had to take place about the time Columbus discovered America Can't you people think?
It is the same scenario with CO2 .... ice core samplea show that elevated CO2 levels in the atmosphere are a result of a warming event that took place some 800 years previous to the increase. This is ACTUAL SCIENCE ... and is scientifically explaine by scientists who know what the hell they are talking about, and are not selling this carbon crackpot scheme. As the earth experiences a NATURAL WARMING EVENT ... the oceans sloooowly warm, and release more CO2 ... colder water retains more CO2. This takes HUNDREDS OF YEARS. It has been measured in the ice core samples ... it's not a theory ... it's a fact.
Consequently, CO2 doesn't cause warming ... the higher levels are a RESULT OF WARMING that took place hundreds of years previous to the rise ... because it takes that long to warm the oceans.
