I'm not sure they have too many top-notch politcal education classes down in the West Bank, although I could be wrong. However, Hamas offered a 10-year ceasefire that was mostly honored for an extended period of time and some of its leaders have considered recognizing Israel, which doesn't excuse them from the many wrongs they've committed but does seem to make the election results possibly less the result of a "widespread national hatred and insanity among the entire populace."

Could the higher number in the territories have something to do with desparation stemming from oppression? Which isn't to say that suicide bombings against civillians are justified in any way, but is the use of nuclear weapons any more justified?
