Highly unlikely.
The state atty/sheriff's office press conference sounded as if they are very confident that the investigation had been thorough enough so far for them to be able to say positively this is not a 'stand your ground' case.

There was a woman on the local news tonight who appeared to be quite credible who said that she was harassed by the cop just a few days ago at the same theater for the same reason. She was texting and she said he made her uncomfortable by the way he was glaring at her. Then another person in front of her was texting and the cop went over and asked them to stop. She got very emotional saying it terrified her that it might have been them.

So why does this cop routinely go to the same place to just get pissed off at the same things? Strange.

Texting at the movies is annoying but it shouldn't be a capital offense.

Did anyone else think it was weird that the shooter left the theater in a hazmat suit, with his hands cuffed in front of him, drinking a bottle of water as he casually followed behind a police officer to an awaiting police car? Is that how police normally handle a suspect who just shot another man?

Reeves' son is a Tampa police officer who had just arrived at the theater, and was supposed to already be in the theater with his parents but was running late.

Incident...freaking incredible.
You strike me as the kind of person that wouldn't shut off the cellphone if politely asked.

Of course. The point is that discourtesy can and does sometimes escalate to violent incidents.

Or the guy could have obeyed the theater rules and shut off the cellphone.

Or the shooter could have obeyed the theater rules and not brought a gun into the theater.

Also correct. I hope you didn't hurt yourself with that head slap.
