Or am I supposed to mind my business about gay propaganda in the media? Am I supposed to mind my business about Robyn Roberts "coming out of the closet". How do you go about your business when it's national news?

Is sexuality a private matter or one to be announced on a national platform??

No, nobody is being FORCED to accept gays. Well, except the courts.

However, society IS being "nudged".

Robin Roberts didn't come out, she thanked her girlfriend for her support on her facebook page. Thanking people in your life is not pushing anything on you. Men and women thank their spouses and girl/boy friends every day. Are you up in arms about them mentioning their spouse or girl/boy friends? Do you think that them thanking the person that they are involved with is announcing "a private matter" that they should keep to themselves? Or is it only when a homosexual does the same thing that it is announcing their sexuality.

The courts are there to determine if laws that govern ALL citizens are constitutional. Yes, homosexual are citizens and we deserve the same legal protections that you enjoy.

Simply uttering the word "gay" is too much for the delicate nature of some people. It's a wonder they can even function in life.

I think you want it to burn more than it actually does.

But some people like to question why things get so much "burn" in the media. Whereas others don't question much of anything against the herd.

Which mold do you fit into?

To be honest? Yes, I get very annoyed when people, hetero or otherwise, speak about their relationships. I don't externalize mine for it is only significant to me and my other half.

But Robin never said "gay" or "lesbian" or anything else. She did the same thing that millions of other people do every day, thanking their spouse. It seems to only be an issue of sexuality being aired in public when the spouse is of the same gender.

I commend her for going about it that way. But she definitely knew she was throwing a grenade in a crowd when doing so. That isn't her fault though.

Then you are overly sensitive, as most people do discuss their lives, and spouses are part of their lives.
Maybe you should consider moving away from all people. I hear Alaska has lots of land left to settle a homestead. No power for TVs, no neighbors, no plumbing, bur you'll never have to hear another person mention their spouse ever again.

Oh, so you never get annoyed by quirks of human behavior?

That's rich. Have you had your battery changed lately?

I get annoyed, but I can walk away and not let it get to me. I don't go online and search out discussions about that annoyance to get involved in.
People who drink too much annoy me, so I don't hang out in bars. I also don't get into discussions with drunks.
People who talk on their phones too loud annoy me, but I don't search forums to discuss the issue.
I also don't attempt to have their rights removed, because they annoy me.

What does changing batteries have to do with anything we are discussing?

Do you get all uppity whenever a new "black comedy" sitcom premieres on national television?

Do you get angry when a romance movie starring a hetero couple airs on television?

Do you blow a fuse everytime a hetero couple kisses or (*gasp*) has sex on television or in the movies?

Do you think romance movies and television shows are really big conspiracies to further the heterosexual agenda?

Do you feel compelled to find or start a thread about heterosexuality and vent your rage every time a hetero person thanks his or her spouse during a speech, awards ceremony, or political rally?

Because if you aren't equally enraged with heteros and do all of the above things I pointed out, then you DO care about what gays do - it bothers you. Well, that's fine. It can bother you. But if you feel the need to rage about it all the time, you're going to come across as a homophobe even if you're not one.
