He began to drink heavily and had a serious car accident in 1970, requiring almost a year in the hospital. By the time Obama visited his son in Hawaii in 1971, he had a bad leg. Obama's life deteriorated into drinking and poverty, from which he had never recovered during his final years.

He is not motivated by the socialist or Marxist propaganda that hypnotized a whole generation of academics and condescending liberals, those concepts also leave him cold.

What really motivates Barack Obama is an inherited anger of his father against Western dominance, and most especially against the wealth and power of the U.S. And right on time he and his admin promote welfare and want to downsize our military.

Would also appreciate any proof you can summon that the UCC supports Cone's racist rhetoric. You know, the same Cone racist rhetoric on which Rev. Wright himself specifically states Trinity UCC is BASED on.
Current Minister talking about support for the denomination which is done primarily through "Our Church's Wider Mission".

I don't have specific numbers, but its my understanding is that Trinity tithes their offerings to OCWM, which if true would mean over 100k a year.

Here is a document from the UCC national website.
http://www.ucc.org/newchurch/pdfs/50...oom=auto,0,143

The largest worship attendance, membership and OCWM giving congregation, Trinity UCC in Chicago, was a new church in 1962. Three of the largest UCC congregations; Trinity UCC, Victory UCC, and Cathedral of Hope have been new congregations in the past 50 years. Seven of the present fifteen present UCC congregations were new churches.

Then there is this:
http://www.ucc.org/news/chicagos-trinity-ucc-is.html

Many, including Gray, point with appreciation to Trinity UCC's generous support of denominational and ecumenical ministries. From 2003 to 2007, Trinity UCC gave more than $3.7 million to Our Church's Wider Mission, the UCC's shared fund for connectional mission and ministry.

Exactly.

But what we DO have is Rev. Wright's own admission that Trinity UCC is based on Cone's racist rhetoric:
Quote:
"The vision statement of Trinity United Church of Christ is based upon the systematized liberation theology that started in 1969 with the publication of Dr. James Cone’s book, Black Power and Black Theology." [Note that Wright gets the book title wrong, it's actually Black Theology & Black Power.]
https://web.archive.org/web/20080325...ing_points.htm

A few more quotes from Cone, on whose philosophy Trinity UCC is admittedly based...

"To be black is to be committed to destroying everything this country loves and adores."
"Black theology will accept only a love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy."

Both from his book, A Black Theology of Liberation.

"If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him."

But hey, don't dare ask questions about your dear president. Just so we slobber all over the sight of him like you do William. Why are you so defensive about it anyway?
Is this question directed at me?

Go ahead attack Obama all you want. Even attack Trinity UCC is you want. But if you attack them then at least make it based on facts. A lot of people attempt to demonize Obama based on his membership at Trinity UCC. Often however they do based on false information, like it is a black separatist church. That is just blatantly false.
