I just wonder where Issa stands on the issue of blatantly political organizations (both liberal and conservative) attempting to organize under 501c4 status. Isn't stopping that kind of the IRS' job?
Bonus points to the people foaming at the mouth here if they can answer why groups with names like Tea Party, Liberty, Progressive, etc... filing for 501c4 status might be targeted to much greater degree than those filing under 501c3.

What I know is that this administration is almost certainly no more or less corrupt than any recent previous one. The difference is that technology and cable news hves enhanced the ability of partisan ideologues to fabricate and sustain fake "scandals" that previously would have died of their own inertia.

The 501c4 filing status is at the very heart of this controversy. If you're going to outraged over the IRS' actions then you should know why extra scrutiny was given to groups who filed as 501c4's instead of 501c3's.
