I think they believe Juan Williams is a "liberal", and in wingnutland, he is.
juan williams is a classic liberal. he supports many of obamas ideas, such as universal health care, progressive taxation, etc. but by the same token, juan is also accepting of viewpoints which differ from his. the problem with modern liberals is that you want everyone to think like you do, otherwise you are considered a wingnut, or a nutjob. dont like abortion? then you are part of that religious right who wants to take away everyones rights, but then you turn around and want to limit the right of free speech, eliminate guns, etc. and anyone who is a free thinker, you call stupid, or claim they are lying, or are racist.
as i said, i dont agree with williams politically, but i respect him because he accepts people as they are, not as he wants them to be.

I don't think he is a liberal as he would like to think. To the left, of course, but I think his views are based a lot of civil rights. Many issues he can be pretty middle of the road about. I am certainly not saying he isn't a liberal, just not like Chris Matthews or some of the others. Not even close to Alan Colmes. He is really his own person, which is refreshing even if I do spend time yelling at him from time to time and asking him how he could be so dumb? As for Rutgers and Rice, of course they wanted her gone, there is no way they would put up with a conservative black, especially a conservative, black female.

It's disgusting, yes, and all thinking Americans know this, but remember, it's part of a wider strategy of "no shame", which is putting people like her, Bill Kristol and Dick Cheney on the news and allowing them to give their opinions on foreign policy because this insures that disastrous wars of choice, and those who promote them, will never be held accountable.
If we held people like Rice accountable, this could further lessen the chance of future wars being fought, and wars are fought for money. So we are given serial liars and failures like Rice on the lecture circuit and on talk shows, and no one pays for their lies in killing hundreds of thousands of innocent people.
This illustrates how sick our society is like no other example. Keeping people in poverty or locking them up for decades for non violent offenses is bad enough, but killing innocent people for profit is as low as it gets.
