YOU should think about whether someone else's "stuff" is worth YOUR life before trying to steal it.

And why would anyone compare the us without its major cities to Canada including its major cities?. Compare the us without its major cities to Canada without its major cities and Canada would still be five times safer as there is more crime in big cities in any industrialized country in the world, including Canada.

Why don't you compare entire states like 20 million big, gun happy, concealed carry, stand your ground, Florida to also 20 million big, gun control, liberal politics New York State....
Still the same: gun-controlling New York State is safer than stand-your-ground Florida. How is that even possible? Lol

You gun nuts still believe that guns make places safer even though there is plenty of evidence to the contrary, both in the us and abroad. Why? Lol

Logic doesn't seem to be a conservative value... Lol

I said, don't include the crime rates of major cities in the statistics, and the rest of the U.S. has crime rates similar to that of Canada and other industrialized countries that have adopted strict gun control.

You cant plan to kill someone, even if you are defending yourself.
And? What's your point?

He was "prepared", not "planning".

Big difference.

Your "stuff" may just be "stuff" to a thief, but YOUR sweat, time and effort went into earning the money to buy this "stuff".

No one has a right to it, therefore, you have the right to defend it and your life.

This is how civilized states deal with such things while barbarian states have the wild west where a lot more people get killed including a lot of innocent people. Not the NRA gives a crap about the innocent people murdered.
40,000 gun murders in some single major cities in America over the last decade.......not ONE perpetrated by an NRA member.

Leaving my garage door open with my thousands of dollars worth of tools in plain sight does not give someone the right to enter and steal.

A video camera would have only shown you the theft......you would never see your stuff again, nor would you ever be compensated.

What does that prove? Only about 5% of gun owners are nra members.

On the downside some individuals will be killed through misunderstanding or even accident through 'stand your ground' and the 'castle doctrine', but on the plus side you don't have to listen to Stevie Wonder. So swings and roundabouts really.

You antigun nuts don't think at all. Guns don't make places safer, it make me safer should I be victim of a crime. There's plenty of evidence both in the U.S. and abroad.

I guess Canadian women and other innocent citizens have other choice than to be raped, possibly murdered, and/or beat half to death. Why? Lol

Because you make the claim that guns are what make this country less safe, and that gun control will make us safer. If that is true, why then, when we remove cities with the toughest gun laws from the crime statistics, does the rest of the country have a gun violence rate that is significantly lower, and comparable to other industrialized countries with tougher controls on guns?

Unlike the US, Canada has strict gun control all across the board in every corner of the country. In the US, this is not so. If you only include "small town America" with it's less restrictive gun laws in the crime stats, and exclude bigger cities, then small town America will have a crime rate comparable to all of Canada with it's nationwide restrictive gun laws. Proof that less restrictive gun laws are not the problem. If gun control really worked, then the results should be the exact opposite, but they're not. The problem is cities and the socioeconomic factors they create.

You make a lot of claims but never seem to be able to back it up.

Do you have to end every post with an insult? It really says a lot about the lack of confidence you have in your own arguments...

As always, conservatives take their believes for reality. Lol
Got a link to back that up?

Chicago doesn't have strict gun laws anymore.
LOL, how do you figure? Got a link where it says Chicago's restrictive gun laws were all quietly repealed over night? If so, your the only one who knows about it...
