So what are you blaming Obama about?
What he is saying is you are making the false assumption that throwing more money at the problem is the answer to all the world's ills. Obama's staff themselves were trying to use the funding increases to explain away his responsibility.

My understanding of the situation is that this issue goes back decades and it was improving under Bush but worsened under Obama. You can always do more with more funding IF those in charge can execute but it appears execution is what has failed.

Obama stated in 2007 there is a problem...why wait so long?

It would still be a dirty secret today if it weren't for a whistleblower last December.

If it weren't for Dr. Sam Foote we wouldn't know of this.

The slowness of the VA was no secret, the secret was trying to hide the extent of it with paperwork.

I wonder what it will take for the OP to call for Obama's resignation. He is far more culpable for this mess than any GOP senator ever could be.

S. 1950: Comprehensive Veterans Health and Benefits and Military Retirement Pay Restoration Act of 2014

Full Title
A bill to improve the provision of medical services and benefits to veterans, and for other purposes.

Who cares what the name is? we had the "Stimulus" Bill which did NOT stimulate.

If you haven't learned by now MANY bills have nice sounding names but, do NOT do what the name implies.

I note You put ALL the blame on the repubs but, since I actually LOOKED at the bill you included, the very first page shows that the SENATE has NOT passed the bill.

The last time I checked, THE DEMS CONTROLLED the Senate. Why haven't THEY passed the bill.

"Sponsor: Sen. Sanders, Bernard [I-VT] (Introduced 01/16/2014) Cosponsors:9Latest Action:02/04/2014 Motion to proceed to consideration of measure withdrawn in Senate."

Did you read the bill? AL 805 sections?

I see a whole lot of bureaucratic "junk" in the bill. It is NO wonder both the repubs AND the DEMS haven 't passed it.

So, the next time you are up for a raise, why don't you turn it down and tell your boss that "throwing money at you" is not the answer and that to really make you more financially secure you just need to find ways of making the money you ARE making go further?
