I've already showed you the impact of a higher minimum wage on youth unemployment in San Jose. You refused to acknowledge it. You can't legislate people out of poverty, sorry.
Not really, more youth have more things to focus on with schooling than just working a minimum wage job. Also, a number of jobs that use to be available for youths have been taken over by technology.
In 1969 the minimum wage was $1.30. That's the equivalent of $8.40 now.
That information is easily found on the DOL.gov website and calculated using the BLS inflation calculator. So why exactly did you fabricate your story when that data is so easily found?
This $15 min law will probably need to be amended because the city counsel got too cute: Why?
"The ordinance, which phases in the increase over time, passed a committee last week with a few changes. It would take effect next April and allow a sub-minimum wage for teens."

Speak for yourself. Some of them need or want to work.
Its also dishonest to pick the lowest value as you just did. Kinda hypocritical you know?
Look if minimum wage had kept up with productivity it would be over $20. If it had matched the initial wage it would be $4.60, and if it had met the highest value it has ever been it would be $10.60, a good compromise really is $10.10...implemented immediately and pegged to CPI.
I'm tired of seeing this lie thrown around. Wages have kept up with marginal productivity if you drill down into each segment of the economy. Sorry, but fast food workers are not more productive than they were 35 years; therefore, their wages have stagnated as we see today.
