The Brazil-Chile game was decided by penalty kicks, further evidence of Coulter's claim that soccer is un-American.
Can you imagine if an NFL playoff game was decided by a series of field goals from the 20 yard line?
Or an NHL game decided by penalty shots? Or a college football game decided by arbitrarily giving each team alternating possessions from an advantageous spot (25 yards from the end zone), and taking away the point-after-touchdown kick option if nobody has a lead after two possessions each?

Hockey is a Canadian sport.
The second scenario is already done in college football, and it is definitely American.
Poor analogies.
The soccer players should keep playing until someone puts the ball in the net.
There may have to be some rule tweaks made to increase scoring in this game where ties are acceptable.
Girls are different. Scholarship rules are set by the NCAA. Girls soccer for instance has more scholarship money allowed then Mens soccer. D1A Football programs are allowed to offer up to 85 players full scholarships. D1 Baseball for example is allowed to offer a total monetary value of 12 full scholarships but can divide it up to 28 players. So for the most part the number of College Baseball players awarded a full ride is just about 0 with very few exceptions. Many do not even get a half scholarship. On the other hand coaches can find scholarship and money from other sources to aid student athletes as well.
Yes I've been carving into it all here. I have twins who are not close yet but my oldest is. He got a 24 on his first ACT he took. I told him he better study next time. Drop a 30 or so and he will be in good shape. My kids all play sports but I and they know they won't get a sports ride. Hell most will never even the best kids on your team. My 1% rule. 1% of kids make it to hi skool...........1% make it to college and 1% make it pro. Better find something else to do unless your 250lbs and can jump like a rabbit or what have you. lol
