You better ask them: Iraq was producing at full capacity and America is using fracking to release new oil not available before.

Not when they try clean new technologies. They could be investing in solar or wind, but, oh sorry, oil is too cheap for those to be profitable.

Actually most, if not all, fracking is being done for natural gas recovery.

Obama launched revolutions left and right, without a clear goal to capture oil reserves. Only Libya is swimming in oil but you could argue Gaddafi was a real SOB, capable of blowing up a plane. It was embarrassing that our leaders had to kiss his cheek.

You guys have been whining about blood for oil for decades, while ignoring everything else. How about, there was a laundry list of reasons to go to war with Saddam, and oil was just one of them?
The Kurds were already secured in their own zone. Bush father took care of business good enough, but those sanctions were keeping Iraqi oil out of the market. That had to be fixed.

By the way, we never complained that Saddam used gas on Iran. We supported him in that war. He was the natural enemy to keep Iran in check. After him, Iran became powerful and bold, perhaps pursuing the bomb.

Wind and solar are not suitable replacements for oil.

If all they wanted was the oil in Iraq to flow, Bush could have called an end to the sanctions, it's as simple as that.

I know, they are alternative, just like "pedal power" is.

The more alternatives in place the better.
