Umm... so you didn't notice that was a parallel post to the original one, using almost the same words? Do you have a problem with OP?

We need nurses, doctors, engineers, and special scientific fields.

We actually have to many lawyers right now, the field is saturated.

The answer is, when you talk to someone about your future and where you can go with your life, not everyone is meant to go to college. Thats the real answer.
Agreed on all points. The problem is we've created a system of employment that requires a degree to do much of anything other than work low wage retail. And some of that retail employees a lot of people with degrees.

That said, the bootstraps argument is not going to win over any younger people. The world is vastly different from even just 20 years ago as ow you graduate with debt and you stay in debt for a long long time unless you were lucky enough to have school paid for, which few families can afford anymore.

This debt has created a cynicism and dislike for a structure our parents and grandparents created. We don't buy that hard work is enough to get ahead as we've tried. We don't want to continue to drown ourselves in debt by buying big suburban houses and owning multiple cars, if any at all. And we are going to demand that the government deliver services beyond jet fighters that don't fly and programs that cause more harm than good (DEA).

So back to the OP, again, cynical young voters realize that Democrats are ineffective, corrupt, too beholden to identity politics and not doing much to address their concerns. But we also realize that Republicans are all of that plus openly hostile to the concerns listed above and nicely stated by Citylover9.

And now this college campus gem from a Democrat on the US Civil Rights Commission who used to be a former advisor to Nancy Pelosi:

"The civil rights commissioner said he favors outlawing speech that would be grossly unpopular, such as 'a slave auction at a fraternity engagement' or a celebration of Latino culture that involves 'making everyone dress as janitors and mop floors.' Yaki also wants to turn Miss America-type pageants into campus speech crimes. He expressed his belief in the unacceptable dangers of 'a situation involving women' in which they “parade around in skimpy clothing and turn in some show or something.'”

I guess he hasn't seen any YouTube videos of Spring break. When are you going to tell these people to get off your back? It's especially discouraging to see some of these overaged former hippies that run universities/colleges and teach in them trying to control you. When they were your age, they would have squawked plenty if this was pushed on them.
America's children will not live as long as their parents because of their poor diet. Our children today are getting high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, and elevated blood cholesterol levels (children did not get these problems in the past.) Our children are us and I can't see how any parent would allow their children to live shorter lives than them.

about #5: Europe’s socialist (or “social democratic”) welfare state is collapsing under the load of unsustainable debt. There is no chance European politicians will ever make good on the many costly and unfunded entitlements they have promised their citizens.

The fundamental problem in the European Union is a monetary policy failure. In conjunction with the debilitating effects of the social welfare state.

For decades now, one of the most tragic costs of the European welfare state has been Europe’s structural unemployment, especially among the young, combined with welfare payments that turned unemployment into an acceptable—even desirable—status, while stripping those affected of their dignity and sense of responsibility. The recent riots in the U.K. are an ominous reflection of this failure.

No, Europe's problem is the Euro. If countries stayed sovereign like the UK, there is no Euro crisis.

Nothing is "unsustainable" for a currency issuing state.

Well, let's start with the facts. Our childhood poverty stats are disgraceful. We have half the states refusing to expand medicaid for the poor. If people have no access to preventative care, it just strains the system more with obese, unhealthy, less productive workers.

....but health care isn't a "right" according to the right

the welfare state will also be subject to external pressures. International competition will make a welfare state economy less competitive because the high tax rates in the will stifle economic growth.

Welfare is great, as long as you can afford it Plain and simple.

Americas liberals and conservatives are lost and separated.

What conservatives don't understand is that most liberals want to live in a conservative country, like Switzerland. Switzerland has small government, low corporate tax rates, public gun ranges, a citizen militia, no welfare freeloaders, ex.ex. And Switzerland beats America in everything from economy to poverty levels.

But conservatives in Switzerland listen to liberals desires. They make sure workers have high wages, they give everyone healthcare, there is very little poverty, very little pollution, ex.ex. And they do this with conservative policies.

America's conservatives need to listen to liberals desires of respecting the poor, respecting workers, and respecting the environment, (and then fix our country.)

Its not about democrat or republican, rather its about America. And I wish real liberals, moderates, and real conservatives would come together in some way, and stop all this ignore the facts and do nothing stupidity, and then focus on fixing our country.

Perhaps the only thing we could all agree on is that America is going downhill and getting worse.

Chad.
