It's not just a male/female double standard, it's a sexuality double standard.
We have another story on here where a 15 year old boy went on a gay hookup website - pretending to be of legal age - and had sex with a man, and the gay man is now being demonized on here as a pedophile who should be locked up forever and torn to pieces. Yet when a women has sex with a boy of the same age - knowing he's underage - the reaction is to say how awesome it is.

Anyone here old enough to remember the scandal of the year when nearly middle-aged Joey Buttafuoco, the owner of an auto body shop in Long Island, was arrested for his sexual relationship with an underage teenaged female named Amy Fisher. What kind of sentence did he receive? A few days over 4 months in the county jail.
The age of consent is suggestive and is only violated when privacy is violated. Your going shake your seeds until they tell you what you want to hear? ( is that is what you want? To traumatize a person over sex they barely had??? ). That is what went wrong in this case. Privacy is protected under the law. It is like the law is expecting people to turn themselves in. We had something called "Nice and legal" ( before the 1980's ) when retaining for married couples. But the bigger issue the sex without marriage. I have relatives who had kids when they were young adults. Right now one of them are living well off in their $5,000 a month apartment. They turn out normal and had decent jobs. In fact I had a family member who passed away of cancer and is not survived by the second child but the first they had when they were younger. Whatever private business is your private business. If anything commercialism and stereotypes, and violence in the neighborhood contributed to problems.

Yes that is right? This crap escalated back in 2004 when grown men started to accuse the Catholic religious structure of non-heterosexual activities. How they were assaulted as little kids by big grown CHURCH MEN. That is when this crap started to hit the fan. That is when it became a problem.
