I have to disagree with this. To me there is no bigger damage than running up the debt like he is as well as the massive influx of immigration which will ultimately destroy America and its heritage in a hundred different ways. Let's not even get into the wars that are starting will likely outspend that of Iraq soon enough.

Wow! I forgot to mention Obamacare in the original post, all the other things have been so overwhelming that it's not hard to overlook one of the major ones. Thanks for brining this up, this will be a huge determining factor on the worst presidency ever.

Best and worst is mostly subject to opinion, and given the current state of American politics, I'd guess a total of 8 Americans would be capable of reaching an opinion that isn't heavily influenced by personal bias.

Ignoring any political views any individual has though, Obama is not the worst. He's not great or even good, but the worst? Absolutely not. That is ludicrous. If I had to pick the worst, it'd be the ones that take a moment to even remember their names. In short, if you can't picture their face or think of a single thing they did, they're worse than Obama, and there's plenty of presidents like that. Andrew Johnson, for example, could be a reasonable candidate. Obama... not really.

Woodrow Wilson was hands down the worst president. I've posted this litany before, but why not again?

Quote:
Started the federal income tax, which of course was only supposed to apply to the super rich. Started the war on drugs (Harrison act of 1914). Started us down the path of America as police force for the world w/ WWI. Created the FBI, historically one of the most deleterious federal institutions. especially under Hoover. On his watch, people were jailed just for printing and distributing anti-war pamphlets (Schenk case). He was an outright bigot against blacks, and resegregated the federal work force, including the military.
Wilson was the father of the nanny state, the police state, and the military industrial complex and idea of US as world police.

Obama appears now to be the epitome of incompetence now, but let's face it, Bush had his issues too. Keeping Rumsfeld on as long as he did was a huge error. Rummy should have been gone after Abu Ghraib; it was Rummy's decisions that set the stage for that debacle. Don't forget, it was W Bush who created the TSA.

Clinton had his share of incompetence too. Joining forces w/ James Johnson of Fannie Mae, and repealing Glass-Steagal (sp?) set the stage for the crash of 2008. Suing Microsoft was moronic, and set off the tech crash of 2000. Obama is just one in a long line.

In my lifetime, we've really only had 3 presidents who were on top of things: Ike, Reagan, and HW Bush.

I'd like to add to my response. If he isn't the worst, he certainly damaged the integrity of the office to a point where it's almost become a joke. Going on talk shows, and things like the salute with a coffee cup, just belittles the office itself.

He's full of faults and disregard for USA. Remember Carter and his ridiculous kissing up to Palestine. Ford seemed to not be present but not out golfing instead of reading US intelligence reports...

He is the worst in my lifetime, and by far the most divisive.

Also, whether you loved or hated either Reagan or Clinton, both were born leaders. That is a quality Obama is clearly the worst at in the modern era of presidents.

LBJ among the best?

In what friggin' universe?

His decision to send combat troops into Vietnam is among the worst made by any POTUS ever.
