I'm going to let you in on a secret. Congress is not beholden to the President and is not there to do his bidding. If their constituents are telling them they do not want to pass a bill, those representatives should be good shepherds of their constituents' trust and wishes. Obama is out of his mind if he thinks that because he wants something, Congress should act and on his timetable. Government doesn't work that way.
80% of people object to Obama using Executive Order for this and 74% say Obama should work with Congress. What you should be asking yourself is why isn't Obama a good shepherd for our citizens' trust? But keep being fooled into believing it's the Republicans that are the issue.
Congress is supposed to do what is best for our country, refusing to act on immigration reform is not good for our country speaking of being a good shepherd. Their non solution amounts to burying their heads in the sand and ignoring the problem, that has been the case for the last 20 years. Everyone wants a solution through congress but their primary goal is to be reelected not always what is best for the country. Many states are already taking action since we are lacking reform at the federal level.
Tell me what the congressional timetable looks like, does one even exist. I don't think we want to rely entirely on phone surveys, most American though it was a good idea to invade Iraq.
So what's the plan, it would be nice to hear what the GOP plan is for the millions of illegal immigrants already here, maybe build a bigger wall, call out the national guard, deport all of them. No one likes the situation we are in but executive orders are limited and can be cancelled in two years, it can be a great platform for the GOP in 2016 and then we can see their solution if one exists.

Again, what "reform"? You are demonizing congress for not passing "amnesty" rather than enforcing our immigration laws? IMO, what a screwed up concept that is.
The GOP has a solution. Enforce the laws on the books, secure the border and remove the incentives for illegal aliens to remain here or to continue to come here. It's really that simple and that is what would be best for our country and its citizens.
Which laws hasn't he enforced specifically what is he doing differently than Bush or Clinton.
Our laws state that illegal aliens are to be deported when found. Obama isn't doing that. Instead he is giving them a stay of deportation with work permits. He is only allowing "convicted" criminals to be deported rather than any illegal alien found within our country. That's not enforcing our immigration laws but you knew that, didn't you?

The border cannot be secured and that solution is far from simple if it was that easy we would have done it already. There are 12 million immigrants here illegally, deporting that many residents is next to impossible. The issue with congress is that they take pot shots at our current situation without any reasonable proposal, and that has been the case for decades.
Increase fines on employers and hire more agents to investigate businesses, building walls is not an answer.
The current occupier of the White House has said he would proceed with Amnesty "immigration reform" though Executive Order.
Republicans have gave a warning signal (like an Indian smoke signal) saying No, don't do it!
Could this be a treasonous act by the president and warrant impeachment?
Afterall, isn't it in the Constitution:
The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors. The Constitution, Article I, Section 3
Would that mean Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush would be retroactively impeached?

Yes there are some exceptions but he is enforcing the law, this has dragged on for so long it has become very complicated and many are ingrained in our culture and businesses. Actually immigration has declined from the high in 2008.
So if amnesty is not acceptable why hasn't congress passed a bill that provides the funding and a system to deport 12 million people, it's that simple.
Conservatives don't realize their hero Ronnie Reagan granted amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants. Definitely not a liberal.
