People need a lisence to drive in all 50 states, but can carry guns openly in public in many states. How does this make sense?

The militia is an organized, structured fighting force made up of citizens, aka our armed forces

The thing is, far more people are killed by their guns than saved by them (43 times as many, to be exact. And you still haven;t debunked any part of that study yet)
Grandma giving her purse isn't what the perp wants - he's out to rape her.

Read the study you cited---the debunking is in there. Read what the other posters have said. Reading is fundamental.

You are so funny!! Now I know definitely are trolling. No one can seriously be that uninformed and actually believe that tripe.

Find a story where guns have been taken away from gun owners and used against them. Post a link. I'll post 20 self defense links for every one of yours. As anti gun as the media is that shouldn't be too hard if you are correct.
Earlier in this thread, I've already posted links to successful self defense stories that have happened just recently.

Chicago... figures.

Kellerman took totals and got his figure without any in depth discussion or research. It was lazy. Take 5 minutes, look it up, figure it out.

You still haven't informed your viewing public your wish for rape/sexual assault to lose its #1 detractor.

I know a lot about assault rifles, mainly, that they are used for war, and for mass murder, and nothing else.
This proves the only thing you know is what the media is reporting. That's not the same as being knowledgable about firearms.

What is the difference from an "Assault" gun and a deer rifle ?

The gun ban in Chicago is working? Seriously? The murder capital of the US?

If you recall when congress voted down the gun control bill, Obama expressed his anger and issued 22executive orders on gun control. He went as far as his powers legally let him.
Actually, Chicago is much safer than Louisiana, Alabama, etc. where there are few gun laws but tons of bodies.

And you must be trolling me to think that an average citizen has any legitimate use of a military assault weapon

I'll let Colorado state senator Evie Hudak explain the statistics for you:

Even the girl who wanted concealed carry on college campus (how crazy is that?) admitted that the statistics were correct
